Faith Communities and Mental Health
The first week of October 2020 is National Mental Health Week. In observance of this, Carole and Jay Furr will present a session sponsored by NAMI Vermont as part of the FaithNet series. This session will take place immediately after the service on October 4. Carole will share her personal story and then we will talk about mental illness and health, resources for those interested in learning more, and most importantly, the role faith communities can play in supporting those with mental illness and creating a stigma-free society. The session will last a half hour — but there will be time for discussion and questions, so it could go longer. Discussions and questions are most welcome!
